“Riverside Haunting” presented by Greenville Heritage Days

This event was conceptualized by the Greenville Heritage Days Committee as another way to bring our community together during one of the funniest seasons of the year! Local business, individuals, groups and organizations are invited to set up a haunted, Halloween display for spectators to enjoy as they drive through Riverside Park during the scariest weekend of the year! Let’s make this year our best year yet!

Are you brave enough to venture into riverside park after dark?

Enter Riverside Park after dark if you dare! Go past the ghosts and goblins and into the witches lair. Do what you can to survive the night, for what you will see will give you quite a fright! During the 5th Annual Riverside Haunting, spectators in the park will drive through a frightful Halloween experience of) haunted displays created by local businesses and organizations from the Greenville community.

Admission is by donation.

Spectators may only enter the park in a vehicle. IF ON FOOT YOU WILL NOT BE GRANTED ADMITTANCE

We’re selling Riverside T-Shirts as a fundraiser to support this event and our 2023 Heritage Days Festival. This year’s logo was designed by Heritage Days Committee Member, Stephanie Wilson and Lydia Kelso of Corps Coutour will complete the screen printing.

Various colors & styles are available in sizes XS - 2 X. Crew and V-neck options with a unisex fit. Complete the order form below to order your shirt. Payment will be made at the time of pick up! Cost per shirt is $10 ($12 for 2X).

Are you a Halloween fanatic? Love to get your scare on? Then we want you as part of our event! Any business, individual, group or organization is invited to set up a frightful display to be part of “Riverside Haunting.” Just submit your registration form and nominal fee by October 7 and get to work designing your site! There will be NO REGISTRATION FEE this year, but electric charges must be paid with each form submission.

I understand that if I fail to comply with the rules of the event, I may be asked to leave and my registration fee is non-refundable. As always we cannot make our events possible without the help of community volunteers. Do you love Halloween and dressing up but aren’t able to pull together a site of your own for the haunting? No problem, we need plenty of individuals to help direct traffic and keep our spectators safe throughout the event!

Area of interest:

Please tell us what area you would be interested in helping with as an individual volunteer. Security: Stationed throughout the park to make sure cars stay on the roadway, individuals stay in their cars and that actors are not physically touching cars. Admissions: Taking donations and making sure spectators know the rules, etc. Floater: used as needed through out the event to run to scare sites. Solo Actor: walking throughout the park dressed in costume, scaring spectators as they drive between scare sites. **All volunteers are strongly encouraged to dress in costume.
